StarLux 1540 Fractional Laser Resurfacing
Tremendous innovation from Palomar Medical with the Lux 1540 Fractional Laser Resurfacing, with fabulous advantages over other fractionated laser resurfacing.
LUX 1540 is great for lines, wrinkles, acne scars, pigmentation disorders, sun damage, etc. Super results on face, neck, (V) of chest, backs of hands, etc.
The Lux 1540 Fractional, the newest fractional laser does not require the patient to sit or lay for sometimes an hour or more ahead of time with a messy blue dye on the skin, and then this blue dye has to be removed after their face has been irritated by a laser procedure. Lux 1540 Fractional laser can be done with or without anesthetic, but we generally use a topical anesthetic for about 30 minutes before the procedure and thus the whole procedure can be made very comfortable and done in about thirty minutes.
Most fractionated laser operators often require or suggest up to four or five treatment sessions but the STARLUX 1540 Fractional laser usually requires around three sessions in most circumstances. Excellent results have been obtained for acne scars, pigmentation disorders like melasma, sun and aging damaged skin, line and wrinkle resurfacing, along with improvement in stretch marks and striae from the reporting of clinical researchers.

The Palomar Lux1540 Fractional Laser Handpiece, FDA cleared for soft tissue coagulation, delivers light in an array of high precision microbeams. These microbeams create narrow, deep columns of tissue coagulation that penetrate well below the epidermis and into the dermis, while sparing the tissue surrounding the columns from damage.
While keeping the stratum corneum in place, the Lux1540 uses high-precision microbeams to create narrow, deep columns of tissue coagulation in the epidermis and dermis.
The coagulated tissue within the columns initiates a natural healing process that accelerates the formation of new, healthy tissue. Excess pigment and coagulated cellular debris are expelled as the skin is resurfaced.
Throughout the process, the integrity of the stratum corneum is maintained, which protects the tissue from infection as it heals. The result: faster dermal remodeling and skin resurfacing.
High Efficacy, No Downtime

Safety and Comfort

We now offer the most advanced system to maximize absorbtion of nutrient and antiaging products into the skin. The products used in these treatments contain the optimum strengths of vitamin A and C plus additional growth factors. This technique is crucial because skin has a natural, waterproof barrier that hinders the penetrations of vitamins.
The Environ® Ionzyme® DF machine is a patent pending machine which provides facial treatments that are at the forefront of scientific skin care. The machine introduces the use of active Sonophoresis and intensified Iontophoresis treatments, and is therefore possibly the most advanced penetrant-enhancing machine available in the world today.
The Ionzyme® DF machine manages to overcome this resistance with two tried and tested methods:
Iontophoresis – involves the use of an electrical current to facilitate greater penetration of vitamins into the skin. With conventional the Ionzyme® DF machine, patients notice that the skin looks and feels younger after the first treatment, with progressively improved results after just two or three treatments.
Sonophoresis – involves the use of sound waves to transport vitamin molecules through the skin. The sound used is the same as the sound made by dolphins, which produces better penetration through the skin than conventional Ultrasound.

Microdermabrasion 
Also called "lunchtime peels", microdermabrasion is a technique to mechanically exfoliate the stratum corneum dead layer of the skin. This is performed by a sand blasting like technique on a very micro level by shooting fine sodium bicarbonate particles at the skin and then evacuating them. The result is a refreshened look and feel. This technique is combined with moisturizing procedures to allow better penetration of the different topical treatments. This treatment, in combination with daily skin care regimen, will reduce fine lines and wrinkles and reduce changes that occur on the skin from aging and sun damage.
The Aesthetic Associates Centre has developed a protocol we call the Ultimate Medical Facial. It incorporates a combination of the Microdermabrasion with the Medical Facial. Following the microdermabrasion with sodium bicarbonate crystals, we apply a hydrating medical facial with antioxidant treatments using Vitamin C and Vitamin A products utilizing Iontophoresis and Sonophoresis applications. This gives the skin a totally invigorated feeling!
Permanent Hair Removal & Photofacials
Our Palomar Starlux IPL System
Palomar is a pioneer in light and laser based equipment. They developed the first high-powered laser hair removal system in 1996 and the Starlux IPL is the newest technology available (more powerful than the Medilux). This laser features active contact cooling for maximum comfort— and the IPL is faster than other lasers, and thus we are able to treat large areas in less time. After researching many lasers, we found the Starlux to be most efficient and effective for permanent hair reduction and pigmented lesions.
The Palomar pulsed light handpieces use AccuSpectrum Technology to filter light in the optimal bands of the spectrum for specific treatments. This allows us to choose the best handpiece for the treatments you seek.
Permanent Hair Reduction – (LuxR, LuxRs, LuxY)
Undesired or excessive body hair is a common concern of many men and women. The solution is StarLux IPL Permanent Hair Removal for long-lasting results and virtually hair-free skin. Our unique system emits intense pulses of light that is absorbed by the hair follicle disabling the hair to grow. IPL hair removal permanently eliminates or reduces hair on all body areas and most skin types eliminating the need for messy creams, shaving or waxing.

- 2 treatment heads (R and Rs) to better target different skin types

Photofacial and Pigmented lesions (LuxG)

- Pigmented lesions: Intense pulses of light are absorbed by pigmented (brown) lesions in the skin. Once absorbed, the lesions become darker, crust up, and slough off the skin through natural exfoliation in about 2 weeks

- 5-8 treatments every 3-4 weeks, occasional touch up every 6 months especially if continue sun exposure.
- Treated area will become very photosensitive so sunblock and hat are recommended for face if going in the sun

Glycolic and Facial Peels
Various strength glycolic acid and lactic acid treatments offer a refreshed effect to the skin. Patient feel rejuvenated following the treatments. Often these superficial peels are combined with microdermabrasions to maximize the results.
